will do the job for now

Hi, after searching like mad for a hoover and reading many reviews i decided to take the plunge and buy this one.Last year i bought a miele (not cat and dog) after which we had bought a GSD puppy- now that our puppy is 6 months and shedding fur all over the place the old hoover just died- i was mad as it was not that old, quite expensive and should have carried on.But what i like with this Russell Hobbs pet Turbo is the fact that it has a 2400 watt motor- it does suck up well.but the floor cleaner attachment could have been a bit bigger- the power lead could have been longer as with the actual hose itself.the Extension poles were for me a bit too short as i am 5ft 8ins tall so i had to compromise and make this hoover half Russell Hobbs and half miele by swapping attachments- it is much better now.i have found that a lot of the lower end hoovers have too short Extension poles.but for £70- for me i does the job (until) i can get a better one.I dont think that this is really a Heavy Duty hoover and i honestly donot think that it will last 12 months (when my previous miele didnt)But its oky for now- i also like the spots that are all over it and thats kinda cute.its not too noisy which is also good.I think that if you have a small dog/toy breed this hoover will last longer if used moderatly but as i have a growing large breed that sheds her hair twice a year i might need a new one sooner than i thinkMany thanks- Carole

Good little vacuum cleaner

Such a good vacuum cleaner, leaves the carpet feeling clean and fresh and its not very noisy. Its also easy to carry around and has lots of little hose ends for different types of cleaning. Very stylish too. Amazon is the cheapest place I found to buy this vacuum cleaner so I am very pleased with my purchase.

This is my second hoover purchase as was very pleased with the first one. Only problem with this one is the hoover pipe which is constantly falling off, it just won't push in far enough to keep it in place although am sure it will gradually ware in.Good suction on all floor types & super brush head is brilliant on the stairs. Very good value for money compared to some of the expensive models currently available on the market.

The title says it all. We have no pets and yet this bagless cleaner still clogs up. Suction is poor and needs to be pulled apart twice every time that we vacuum the apartment to unclog the filters. Do not buy this useless vacuum.

Has a limited life

I suppose I should have known, as it was so 'reasonably' priced. I have had this product for 18 months, and a bearing has gone. It has had less than average (once a week) lightish use, and has been noisy for a while. (But not when it was under guarantee)So now it's junk.That'll teach me. I'll have to spend more next time.

taking this vacuum cleaner back today. It looks great but keeps getting clogged up. I have to pull fluff and hair out of it every time I use it, otherwise it just doesn't suck anything! Good thing I dont have a major allergy to dust! I now cant get it unclogged. I have given it a go, But just not up to my dogs hairs. May be alright if you have a short haired dog, like a dalmation, but mine is a collie!!

what a waste of money. you have to empty the hoover after using for a short time. the filter keeps getting clogged up. red suction light keeps coming on as a warning of motor overload. i only have a rug in my lounge it struggles to hoover that. any thick carpet the red warning light comes on. i cant wait for it to break so i can buy a new one

I recently purchased this cleaner and was immediately impressed by the suction power. It's very strong, so be careful. It didn't seem to lose suction either. I have a house rabbit, so fine fur in the carpets, is an issue, however this cleaner seemed to deal with it fantastically. I didn't think my carpets were that dirty when I first tried it out, but I had to empty the dust compartment 3 times, with the amount that came out of them....presumably previously hidden for years! The cleaner looks good, no fussy bits or lurid colour, is quiet, has a good range of accessory heads and empties easily. My only slight criticism is that it won't balance on the stairs, as it's too wide, so you have to clean the bottom steps from ground level and the higher steps, from the landing. Other than that.....I think it is good value for the money, compared to other cyclonic cleaners.

Disappointing

I purchased this vaccum after using an AEG for 20 years and thought that next time I would have a bagless cleaner. I chose this model because of its size and weight and that I really didn't need all the fancy bells and whistles most vacs have. Russell Hobbs has always been a reliable name but I was disappointed with this cleaner. Not only was the suction not as good as my old faithfull, when I came to empty the dirt out of the dust bin as recommended daily by the manufacturer the latch proved to be faulty, so I was unable to empty it.Unfortunately Russell Hobbs could not forward a replacement part even though they were helpful to me in my dilemma, so I decided to return to Amazon for a refund.On the plus side it is a subtle colour, ideal for hard flooring, is compact and has easy to use instructions. It also would be ideal for properties perhaps with no pet hair to clear up. Would however, be suitable as a second machine to use upstairs or in less populated areas. If you like your vacs suction to be able to lift the corner of a rug this is not for you, even on the highest suction this one does not do it - buy one that is over 1400 watts.

Having been an avid Dyson fan for the past 20+ years, I decided to risk buying a different make when it was on a really good special offer. In fact the whole thing cost just about what I would have had to pay just to replace the Dyson contact head. I was very pleasantly surprised at just how good the suction is. I have used it on thick Persian rugs and it lifts them off the floor - and it is equally as good on my tiled and wood floors. I have only one gripe - the cable just isn't long enough! It means disconnecting and plugging in more often which is a nuisance, otherwise it would have been 5 star.

It makes good toast and the control are easy to use. The crumb tray is a bit to small and it takes a bit to shake any other crumbs out of the actual toaster. The power cable comes out one side of the toaster attached under the base this can be a bit auk wood and unsightly if you have the controls facing left as th power cable then pokes out towards you. But overall a pretty good toast maker
