Nice and cheap hoover, pitty the customer service is rubbish and condescending....won't being buying russell hobbs again.

Got this product for christmas when I moved to my first house as a christmas present. Was really pleased with it until as these things do the belt broke. No problem i thought i am an electrical engineer so replacing a belt shouldn't be a problem. It took me an hour to try and find all the screws to undo to get to where the belt was and even then the hoover would not come appart. I tried looking at the manual and there was no instructions on where all the secure points where (knowing there must be a hidden screw somewhere), so i emailed the customer service department and they were fine line short of rude, telling me that basically i wasn't competant to change the belt and that i should take it to someone "qualified" to do so. When I responded to this riduculous email i got a further insulting exchange insinuating my lack of competance and you can just tell from the tone of the email it was a "can't be bothered" attitude rather than a helpful attitude assuming that i was some simpleton that couldn't change a hoover belt and not that the product was just so un user friendly. I would suggest that perhaps Russell Hobbs customer service do a bit of research into their customers before they make such assumptions.... poor, very poor.
