Excellent design, very easy to use and great coffee

Ordered at the start of a bank holiday weekend on a Friday night, selected standard shipping and would be told it would take 7 days to arrive but t came first thing on the Tuesday morning. A great start.The design of this coffee maker is very sleek, it fits perfectly in our kitchen and it looks fabulous. Unlike previous coffee makers I've owned, this is very EASY to USE AND CLEAN. It comes with a removable filter and filter holder and the water tank not only opens up to allow easy pouring of water in, it also easily removes to allow it to be cleaned easily, so no worries about lime scale build up with regular care.I like the simplicity of this machine, just an on/off switch and you adjust taste by having different beans/powder to suit your tatse. None of these strong-light taste switches which essentially are just holes that get widened/shortened to allow the coffee to run into the jug more wuickly or slowly. Just put in your powder, switch it on and get really nice coffee a few minutes later.We grind our own coffee at home, this machine produces a really nice brew, after an initial clean of the plastic filter holder and having two runs of hot water through it without coffee before the first use there was no residual plasticky taste that we could notice (my wife is very sensitive to these things).One last note, for people who like "big" mugs of coffee in the morning this will produce 4-5 large 350ml sized mugs. It says the maximum level indicator on the water tank is 10-15 cups, we usually fill to 6 cups and that gives two large mugs.

Since there are few reviews about this Coffee Maker, and since I'm so very impressed, I thought I'd submit a review.I've only received this today so can only give first impressions.In my opinion, it is stylish, well constructed, easy to operate, easy to clean and best of all it makes a HOT cup of coffee - not a tepid/luke-warm one like many I've encountered, and astoundingly keeps it hot for a considerable amount of time on the hotplate! When I say 'makes HOT coffee', I mean if you have it black you will be borderline burning your tongue! Some people may not like this, but for me it's perfect as I like to drink my coffee hot and being able to pour cups from the same jug over a 2hr period without having to reheat in the microwave is amazing! To be fair, after 2hrs it's still more than luke-warm by some degree (pun intended), but not scorching obviously.I like the way the water container comes out for filling and I like the fact there is only an on/off button. No timers, no settings just 'On/make Me Coffee'.If you're after a HOT coffee maker and like me have spent many frustrated years with coffee machines that can only muster an over-warm coffee, then this may be for you!

No fancy and unnecessary gadgets make this filter coffee machine a dream to use. Press the conveniently place on/off switch and your coffee starts to filter through. I love its simplicity and don't look to my coffee machine to give me the time, the weather and the news!It's tall & slender, doesn't take up a lot of space, and the water reservoir can be removed for filling - much more practical than trying to pour water in from the back. The filter can be used with the plastic filter that comes with the machine, or with paper filters. The coffee pot handle has a nice solid feel to it. The styling is clean and very pleasing to the eye. One of the drawbacks could be that you're not supposed to put the coffee pot or the filter into the dishwasher, but I don't mind rinsing it out by hand.It looks good on the counter top, fills up with coffee quickly, and switches off after two hours for those forgetful days. Great buy.
