Has good looks but not much substance.

Bought one of these about 6 months ago when I moved into a small 1 bed flatI should have known better.At first it as OK, a little noisy (however didn't the original Dysons sound they were trying to split atoms?) but it had really good suction and picked up pretty much anything without having to wear a groove in your carpet from repeatedly going back an forth.It picked up off tiles well thanks to a little rubber thing you could drop down from the back of the head.Its small, compact, looks pretty good and is a decent price for a bagless cleaner.The cylinder has seemingly good capacity. I don't have to use it that much as don't have any animals and have a strict shoes off at the front door rule, so I perhaps used it once a week over the whole flat so was probably just over a month before I needed to empty it.When I did, WHAT A MESS! First of all just opening the cylinder and removing it from the body of the cleaner causes an explosion of dust. There seems to be a corrugated paper filter which sits on the side of the cylinder which seemingly goes no where (the square little thing in one of the pictures) however this turns black with dirt which you have to pick the dirt out with a toothpick (ick!). Emptying the cylinder is a nightmare. So for a small flat I have keep taking the cleaner apart and cleaning the filters every five minutes.Now after only 6 months I have next to no suction from it, and I can figure out what is stopping it. It is next to useless.Thee is a design flaw with how you pick it up, that handle on top, the big gray one that looks like you should pick it up with is the handle for the cylinder only and you could end up getting cylinder contents everywhere.The head is attached to the wand with a tiny little bit of plastic, mine has broken and the head now keeps falling off.In summery, am really disappointed, when you pay this much for something you expect it to last a few years, especially with only the light use I would be using it for.Noticed that these are now knocking around for half price, don't be tempted.Like me you will be looking for something else to replace it with very soon.

I bought this item but unfortunately I had to take it back.It is nicely small and compact but is very noisy, feels cheap and plasticky and the handle is in the wrong place which leaves you to keep picking it up by the wrong part. I bought it as I have a serious dust allergy but unfortunately the compartment you have to empty is very hard to clean out without making a mess. I am now making sure that I buy a bagged vacuum so maybe I should have known this before. This product has been discontinued and im not surprised.

Disappointed with cheap hopeless tools. Bad system for carrying as easy to pick up dust collector by mistake which means the cleaner gets dropped!! Would not buy without seeing first another time.
