No more cooked coffee

I was given one of these as a wedding gift 4.5 years ago. It was used every weekend, saturday and sunday mornings and very often throughout the week as well. It is easy to clean, easy to use and keeps the coffee hot for hours without the aid of a hotplate. I always pre-heated the jug before making the coffee and some 5 hours later the brew was still hot.The machine did more than an average ammount of work for nearly 4 years, unfortuately the pump broke and it had to be replaced. This machine was nowhere to be found at that time, otherwise I would have bought a direct replacement.I now have another brand with a thermal jug which is not as good even though it cost more.

The product shows the on/off switch on the front, but it is on the side and not so visible and can therefore be left switched on too long.The jug is not easy to slide into place as it catches on the dispensing valve.Previous unit came complete with a gold filter - this unit has no filter requiring seperate filter bags to be purchased.

Its a good coffee maker. Not the most expensive in the world.It was a Xmas present for my elderly mother, who lives on her own.We just wanted a maker that could use ground coffee and filters, nothing too fancy or intricate.Its easy to use, the instructions are very clear and it has a thermos jug, which keeps coffee hot for ~4 hours. This is ideal for somebody who lives on their own.I marked 4 stars rather than 5, as the product did come with a Euro style plug, but this was easily resolved with Euro to 3 pin adapter. This was not clear at time of purchase.Would I purchase again - yes
