Mainly good but a few issues

I drink a pot of coffee every day. My old £12 coffee machine had started to leak so I needed a new one. This product seems to be listed on Amazon twice possibly an older and a newer model and one was £30 the other £45. I couldn't see any difference in the spec and went for the £30 one.The main gripe was that the coffee tasted plasticy for a month. Same coffee brand as before (same bag even) as the with the old machine, but it tasted awful for weeks. Seems all right now but I'd normally expect one or two batches enough to clear any initial tastes.Second opening for the water reservoir is a small slot towards the back of the unit which is accessed with the lid up. It is a small target and you have to pour slowly or the water spills into the central area where the coffee goes. The fact the unit is tall means I need to pull it out from the cupboards overhanging the worktop when filling the reservoir.Third, after using, the inside of the lid is wet from the steam and has to be left open for hours to dry out. I also found it very easy to forget to empty the coffee grounds until the next morning when I go to make the next batch.The clock on the front is LCD and is set for best viewing from slightly above the unit, if you are sitting down and looking at it from across the room, the LCD does not show up well enough to read it. It also gets covered in steam condensation while the unit is operating which means it cannot be read from any angle.The reservoir water level indicator on the side is useless as are the similar feature on kettles. It is also difficult to tell how much coffee is left in the jug as this is black on a black background and because it is enclosed in the unit, not much light gets behind it.On the bright side it now tastes all right and the unit feels solid and well built so I expect it will last.

A classy gadget for a low price!

I am absolutely thrilled with this product. It looks good in the kitchen and is easy to use. I shopped around and bought this at an extremely reasonable price.
